EXCELLENT Based on 391 reviews Posted on Emily MartinNovember 15, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My heart goes out to all of the victims of drunk driving. They deserve to be represented with dignity and respect. My hope is for love, healing, and peace for everyone involved to build stronger and healthier communities. I was shocked and dismayed that in 2025 when we do know better, that we aren't doing better. The VIP class is solely based on judgement, guilt, and shaming which is unhelpful to anyone and causes harm. Addiction disorder is recognized in the DSM. Quite often people who have addiction disorder also have comorbidities. Addiction, poverty, not having basic needs met and mental health disorders are not a flaw in one's character. Asserting this narrative is harmful. Pushing people back towards unhealthy coping mechanisms and their DOC is counterintuitive for true rehabilitation. If the people at building bridges want to help and bring awareness, then let's do that in a productive manner, that is helpful. My suggestion is to adjust the presentation to convey that we are all equal, human members of the community with a place in it. I would place my bet that at least 90, if not 100% of the people in the class would also like to see less victims of drunk driving and be a positive influence in making that happen. Negative reinforcement, or coercion, rarely produces a positive change of behavior. We are stuck with a system that is punitive based, rather than rehabilitative. Building Bridges has the platform to make really positive, meaningful, change in the community. Let's work together. It was very informative and definitely has made me rethink exactly how I go about approaching situations that may involve alcohol!
